There are so many different categories of games in order to cater for different age groups and tastes. As for me, I am more interested in RPG , ARPG, AVG, and RCG games. And I think a good game firstly needs a good story as a base to attract players. I am a very visual person and I believe the first impression the game gives to people is really important, it sometimes can be the only chance to be chosen by a player. This impression is exactly embodied in the visuals and music of games. Besides, the logics of a game and the way of interaction are also indispensable, they are crucial parts for game experiences. What I am expected in this class is to learn strategies and basic skills of making a game. Details determine success or failure, and I'd like to know what these details really are inside a game.
(one of my favorite RPG -- Chinese Paladin)
I really like the Marshmallow challenge on class. It is fun and teaches me a lesson of the importance of prototype. According to the survey, children in the kindergarten are the best among other people. The secret of their success is that they apply the prototype in this challenge although they may not really know what the word “prototype” really means. Most of the time, people get accustomed to make a plan and follow it step by step. The flaw is obvious, because they cannot predict the result with 100% accuracy. Thus, we need to make a prototype and then to fix and refine it along the way. Only in that way can people instantly get the feedbacks and finish the work efficiently and creatively.

what's your favourite game? and why?
